It Was The Road Worth Taking...

"The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."
Robert Frost

Well, we have certainly had our ups and downs in the world lately.

But, By The Power of Pie,
Nothing is going to stop us from achieving our DREAM.

We all have many dreams and aspirations, no doubt. They are the constant background chatter in our brains while we are doing the dishes (for the 7th time that day), or lugging in eight loads of laundry from the car - in the rain, or folding the laundry lets be real, we all throw it on the floor and just dry it before we go somewhere which seems to never end...

Our dreams and what we want for ourselves and our REAL passions, ambitions, desires, and all matters of miscellaneous run in the background of our minds as for as long as we are awake, most refer to it as #BrainChatter so I'm sure you get my drift...

And my real drift here is our thoughts become what lead our actions, our actions determine our lives and so good or bad we are attracting bad and good into our lives without realizing it. As a mental patient.... there's really no "polite" way of saying it...it is and can be extremely hard to control our thoughts. They have a name for that too - it's "Unwanted Thoughts".  And so we can spend all the time we want on our "positive thinking" eventually at some point the "unwanted" will try and plop right on down in any holes or gaps there are. So I think.... that we should try as much as possible to re-program ourselves in a way.

Extremely depressed people might need a visual reminder to think of maybe three positive thoughts a day, but with effort this is going to become easier.

For Example: Me (Alyce)
I am using my blog to reprogram my thoughts to lead to a positive origin and outcome.
I am leaving "Positivity Post-It's on things.
I am Folding all of my laundry and putting it away. (Kitty Ears noticed the other day that I had seperated the laundry - probably something I have never bothered to do my entire life, like I was bad... I'd mix whites with darks... and colors on warm)
I'm driving a bit these days, this is helping my "Positivity Train"

I'm trying not to let the downs get me too down and treasure all of my beautiful Moments with my Slice of Pie.

But..

Then after she goes to bed... Then the work starts happening. This little elf goes to work at least 5 out of 7 nights a week. I'm putting in 30 hours plus on my @ Infinity Pie Products Designing Business right now. Somehow the work is keeping me a bit more concentrated, a bit more "with it", and a bit more motivation.

That is really all I need, just a few little bits to survive.

I owe it all to the Universe, Pi, Kitty Ears, Family and Real Friends.

We made this move unsure of where we were going, or what would work out and now we are finding "The Road Less Traveled" was the road WORTH taking... We did not know it at the time, but letting the Universe lead has definitely been worth the trip.

Now life is peaceful. Easier somehow. And how we thank you for taking this journey with us!

So on to the good stuff....

Lots of new stuff going on as I'm sure you can see!

Collections And Little Moments

Any kind of cool yummy drink would be good in this weather, right? "And I learned what is obvious to a child. That life is simply a collection of little lives, each lived one day at a time. That each day should be spent finding beauty in flowers and poetry and talking to animals. That a day spent with dreaming and sunsets and refreshing breezes cannot be bettered. But most of all, I learned that life is about sitting on benches next to ancient creeks with my hand on her knee and sometimes, on good days, for falling in love." — Nicholas Sparks We have been working today with the idea of collections... which has inspired us to start compiling some of our cutest items into amazing Collections for you~ Everything we do is to provide a future for this little slice of Pie, right here! Do What You Want To Do: Moving - Part 3 of 3 -

Settling In. It has been such a journey, but we are grateful for every second, every day, every moment, and are embracing all of the beautiful things coming our way.  Challenging is not even what I would normally call a move like this... Normally.... Well, I won't lie to you, My faithful readers.... It was a glorious.... Imperfect... Pain In The Ass! However, with each box we unpack, we are gaining a little more time and space to work on our ultimate goals here. Living Happy, Living Better, Having More Fun, and Doing What We Want To Do! Because to quote, Shawn Mullins, "Isn't it a blessing... to do what you want to do..." And What we want to do is make Slice of Pie's life amazing.. And how we are doing just that is leaving the rat race (the made up money race, the money actually means something race, the having to choose loved ones over survival race, that you have to live your whole life acquiring instead of enjoying race to the finish...
